Privacy Policy

Effective date: 2026-10-27

Last updated: 2026-10-27

The McInnis Group ("The McInnis Group," "we," "us," or "our") respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains what personal information we collect through themcinnisgroup.ca (the "Site"), why we collect it, how we use and protect it, and the rights you have over it, in accordance with Canada's *Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act* ("PIPEDA") and other applicable Canadian privacy law.

1. Scope

This Policy applies to personal information collected through this Site — specifically, the single contact form described in Section 3. It does not apply to information you provide to The McInnis Group through any separate client engagement, which may be governed by a separate agreement or notice.

2. Who We Are

The McInnis Group is an Ontario-based intelligent-automation and business-transformation advisory practice serving entrepreneurs, small and medium-sized businesses, and nonprofit organizations. Contact information for privacy-related questions is in Section 15 below.

3. Personal Information We Collect

This Site has one mechanism that collects personal information: the contact form in the "Book a Discovery Meeting" section. When you submit it, your information is processed by Web3Forms (a third-party form-handling service) and forwarded to our business inbox. We receive, through that delivery, whatever you provide:

The same form is also used when you select "Request Starter Agent Kit" from the Free Business Tools section — that link simply takes you to the same contact form; it does not collect any additional or different information than a general consultation request does.

General Site browsing: as of this draft, this Site does not use any analytics, advertising, or tracking cookies. If this changes in the future (for example, if a basic visitor-traffic analytics tool is added), this Policy and the Cookies section below (Section 12) must be updated to describe it before that feature goes live — it is not pre-authorized by this Policy.

We do not knowingly collect any more personal information than is reasonably necessary for the purposes described in Section 4.

4. Why We Collect It (Purpose)

We collect your personal information to:

We do not use your personal information for any purpose beyond what is reasonably necessary to fulfill these purposes, or a new purpose you are separately notified of and asked to consent to.

5. How We Use Your Information

We use the information you provide through the contact form to reply to you, prepare for and conduct a consultation, fulfill a Starter Agent Kit request, and maintain an internal record of our communication with you. We do not sell your personal information.

6. Email Communications and Canada's Anti-Spam Legislation (CASL)

When you submit the contact form, the Site asks you to consent to The McInnis Group contacting you about your inquiry. That consent covers responding to the specific inquiry you submitted — it is not, by itself, consent to receive ongoing newsletters, program updates, or other electronic marketing messages. If, in the future, The McInnis Group sends you that kind of electronic marketing message, it is subject to Canada's Anti-Spam Legislation (CASL) separately from PIPEDA: before any such message is sent, The McInnis Group must obtain your separate express or implied consent (as CASL defines those terms), clearly identify itself as the sender, and provide a working unsubscribe mechanism in every message.

7. How Your Message Reaches Us, and Who Else Is Involved

When you submit the contact form, your submission is processed by Web3Forms, a third-party form-handling service, which securely forwards it to our business inbox at themcinnisgroup@gmail.com. Web3Forms processes the information you provide (name, email, company, message) to deliver it to us, and may retain submission data for a limited period under its own retention policy. See Web3Forms' own privacy policy at https://web3forms.com/privacy for how they handle form submissions.

Once your message reaches us, it is received and stored in The McInnis Group's business email inbox, which is a Gmail account provided by Google LLC. Google therefore processes and stores the content of your message as part of providing that email service to us — see Section 8 for what this means for cross-border data handling.

We do not share your personal information with any other third party for their own marketing purposes, and we do not sell your personal information. We may also disclose personal information where required or permitted by law, to subcontractors/service providers bound by confidentiality obligations, or in connection with a business transaction such as a merger or sale of assets — none of which is currently anticipated, but is disclosed here as a standard, honest contingency rather than left unaddressed.

8. Cross-Border Data Processing and Storage

Google LLC, which provides The McInnis Group's business email (Gmail), is headquartered in the United States. This means that once you send a message to themcinnisgroup@gmail.com, it is processed and stored on Google's servers, which may be located in the United States or in other countries where Google operates data centers. The Site's hosting infrastructure, and Web3Forms — the third-party service that processes our contact form — may also store or process information on servers located outside Canada, including in the United States.

Under PIPEDA's accountability principle, The McInnis Group remains responsible for your personal information even when it is processed by a third party, including outside Canada, and we select the services we use with appropriate safeguards in mind. Information that is transmitted or stored outside Canada becomes subject to the laws of that jurisdiction, including potential access by that jurisdiction's courts, law enforcement, or national security authorities.

If you are located in a jurisdiction with its own cross-border data-transfer rules (for example, the European Union/UK under GDPR), be aware that your information may be processed in the United States and/or Canada as described above.

9. How We Protect Your Information

We take reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational measures to protect your personal information against loss, theft, and unauthorized access, use, disclosure, or modification, appropriate to the sensitivity of the information involved. This includes relying on Google's own stated security practices for Gmail, and limiting access to The McInnis Group's business inbox to authorized personnel. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

10. How Long We Keep Your Information

We retain the personal information collected through the contact form only for as long as reasonably necessary to respond to your inquiry, fulfill a Starter Agent Kit request, conduct any resulting consultation, and address any reasonable follow-up, after which it is securely deleted or archived in accordance with our ordinary recordkeeping practices. We do not keep personal information indefinitely or for any purpose beyond what is described in this Policy.

11. Children's Privacy

This Site is intended for business and individual adult visitors and is not directed at children. We will never knowingly collect or maintain personal information from anyone under the age of 13, and if we learn we have inadvertently collected such information, we will delete it promptly.

12. Cookies and Tracking Technologies

As of this draft, this Site does not use any analytics, advertising, or tracking cookies. If that changes (for example, if a basic website-analytics tool is added), this section must be updated before launch to describe the categories of cookies used, the consent mechanism (which, under PIPEDA's meaningful-consent standard, should be more than a bare "by using this site you agree" statement), and how to manage or withdraw cookie consent. Essential, strictly-necessary cookies required for the Site to function (if any are added) would not require the same consent treatment as analytics or marketing cookies.

13. Your Rights

Under PIPEDA, you have the right to:

We will respond to a written request to access or correct your personal information within 30 days. We may require reasonable proof of identity before providing access, and may decline a request where permitted or required by applicable law.

To exercise any of these rights, contact us using the information in Section 15.

Quebec residents: if you are located in Quebec, Quebec's *Law 25* (An Act to modernize legislative provisions as regards the protection of personal information) may impose additional requirements beyond PIPEDA, including around the designation of a privacy officer, incident-reporting obligations, and the right to make a complaint to Quebec's *Commission d'accès à l'information* (CAI). This Policy is drafted at PIPEDA depth; Law 25-specific compliance is flagged here at orientation level only and has not been independently verified for this build.

14. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes to our practices, the Site, or applicable law. The "Last updated" date above reflects the most recent revision. Material changes will be reflected with a reasonably prominent notice on the Site.

15. Contact Us

If you have questions about this Privacy Policy, or wish to exercise any of your privacy rights, please contact:

If you are not satisfied with our response, you may contact the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada (priv.gc.ca) or, if you are a Quebec resident, Quebec's Commission d'accès à l'information (CAI).
